Story of Lightspeed Rescue
The story takes place in a made-up city called Mariner Bay, California. This city was built on an old burial ground for powerful demons. When these demons are accidentally set free from their tomb in the desert, they want to destroy Mariner Bay.
To stop them, a secret government group called Lightspeed steps in. Captain William Mitchell leads this group. He chooses four regular people and his own daughter to become a new team of Power Rangers. Lightspeed uses a special energy source called the Morphin Grid to give them their powers.
Each of the chosen people has a special skill:
- Carter Grayson becomes the Red Ranger. He is a brave fire fighter.
- Chad Lee becomes the Blue Ranger. He works as a lifeguard and trains sea animals.
- Joel Rawlings becomes the Green Ranger. He is a skilled stunt pilot.
- Kelsey Winslow becomes the Yellow Ranger. She is an amazing extreme sports athlete.
- Dana Mitchell, Captain Mitchell's daughter, becomes the Pink Lightspeed Ranger. She is a paramedic and knows a lot about medicine.
The Rangers get help from a team of smart scientists and engineers. Miss Angela Fairweather leads this team. Their secret base is called the Lightspeed Aquabase. It is an underwater military place. This base also keeps the demons away because they don't like water.
Later, Captain Mitchell's son, Ryan Mitchell, joins the team. He becomes the Titanium Ranger. Together, these six Rangers fight against the demon forces. They win many battles. In the end, there is a huge final fight. During this fight, many of their giant robots (called Zords), their base, and most of their special equipment are destroyed.
The series also features a special team-up. Characters from Power Rangers Lost Galaxy return. The evil villainess Trakeena comes to Earth to destroy it. The Lightspeed Rangers then join forces with the Galaxy Rangers to stop her.
