Keith Robinson is an American actor and R&B singer. He is well-known for his roles in TV shows like Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue and movies such as Dreamgirls.
Early Life and First Steps
Keith Robinson was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He spent his childhood in Greenville, South Carolina, and later moved to Evans, Georgia. While studying at the University of Georgia, Keith signed a music deal with Motown Records. However, his music was never released by the label.
Acting Career Highlights
After college, Keith moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue acting. He quickly landed a main role in the TV series Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. In this show, he played Joel Rawlings, who was the Green Lightspeed Ranger.
After his time as a Power Ranger, Keith appeared in several movies. These included Fat Albert and Mimic 3: Sentinel. He also acted in popular TV series like American Dreams, Monk, and Over There.
One of Keith's most famous roles was C.C. White in the movie Dreamgirls. This film was based on a famous Broadway musical. In the movie, Keith sang a version of the Dreamgirls song "Family." He also performed with his fellow Dreamgirls cast members at the 79th Academy Awards ceremony. They sang "Patience," a new song written just for the film. Keith also appeared in the holiday movie This Christmas.
Keith has continued to act in many TV shows and films. Some of his notable TV roles include Neil Crawford in Half & Half, Nathan Walken in American Dreams, and Miles Calloway in Saints & Sinners. He has also appeared in episodes of ER, NYPD Blue, NCIS, and A Million Little Things.
