Power Rangers Time Force is an exciting TV show. It is the ninth season of the popular Power Rangers series. This show is based on a Japanese series called Mirai Sentai Timeranger. It aired for 40 episodes from February to November 2001. This was the last Power Rangers season from Saban Entertainment.

There were plans for a Time Force movie, but it was never made. This was partly because a previous movie, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, did not do well. Also, Disney bought the Power Rangers franchise. However, a home video called The End of Time was released in 2002. It included the last four episodes of the series. A video game based on the show came out in November 2001. It was available for PlayStation, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance.

The Story of Time Force

Heroes from the Future

The story begins in the year 3000. Here, "Time Force" is a special police group. They deal with crimes caused by powerful mutants. Ransik, a very dangerous mutant, is caught and sentenced to prison for life. He had planned to travel back in time to take over the world.

But Ransik escapes! He goes back in time to the year 2001. On his way, he takes the life of Alex Drake, the Red Time Force Ranger. Alex's fiancée, Jen Scotts, and fellow Time Force members Lucas Kendall, Katie Walker, and Trip Regis, decide to chase Ransik. They break the rules to follow him.

Finding the Red Ranger

When they arrive in 2001, their special morphers are locked. They can only be used if someone with Alex's DNA uses the Red Ranger morpher first. So, they go to Silver Hills, Washington. There, they find Wes Collins. He is Alex's ancestor and the son of a rich businessman. Wes unlocks their morphers. He then helps them fight Ransik's mutant army as the Time Force Power Rangers.

At first, Wes and Jen do not get along. Jen is still very sad about Alex's death.

The Quantum Ranger Appears

Ransik keeps trying to take over Earth. Meanwhile, some archaeologists find a mysterious box. They do not know it holds the Quantum Ranger Morpher and its powers. Both Ransik and the Rangers want this powerful item.

This leads them to meet the Silver Guardians. This is a private security team led by Wes's father. The box eventually falls into the hands of Eric Myers. Eric is a member of the Silver Guardians and Wes's old school rival. Eric uses the power and becomes the Quantum Ranger!

Eric is very proud and careless with his new power. The Rangers try to get the morpher back from him. But Eric soon learns how important it is to use his powers responsibly. He becomes the leader of the Silver Guardians as the Quantum Ranger. Over time, he becomes a helpful friend to the Rangers.

Alex's Return

Later, the Rangers start getting help from a secret ally from the future. This ally sends them the Time Shadow Megazord. Soon, this ally comes to 2001. It is Alex! He explains that he is alive because the Rangers changed the future. He has returned to fix things.

Alex tells Wes what was supposed to happen in the original timeline. He encourages Wes to make things right. Wes agrees, even though he does not want to. He gives his morpher to Alex. Wes needs to take care of his father's business. His father was badly hurt by Ransik.

Alex leads the team for a short time. But his relationship with the Rangers becomes difficult. They see that Alex has changed. Alex finally realizes that Wes is the true Red Ranger. He also knows he has hurt his relationship with Jen. So, he gives the morpher back to Wes. Before returning to the future, Alex uses future technology to heal Wes's father.

The Final Battle

Ransik launches his biggest attack on Earth with a huge army. Alex tells the Rangers to go back to the future. He fears they might not be able to return if they wait. Wes, however, must stay behind because he is from 2001. The Rangers refuse to leave Wes. They fight Ransik together.

Knowing his friends cannot stay, Wes forces them to return to the year 3000. This leaves only Wes and Eric to stop Ransik. In the future, the Rangers learn that Silver Hills was saved. But they hear that Wes died fighting. The Rangers are told to forget their memories from 2001. They are encouraged to go back to their normal lives.

Jen is angry. She gives Alex back her engagement ring. The Rangers then return to 2001 to help Wes and Eric. During the final battle, Ransik accidentally hurts his daughter, Nadira. He is ashamed that his hatred almost cost him the only person he cared about. Ransik then surrenders to the Rangers.

Before the Rangers take Ransik and Nadira back to the future, Wes and Jen share their feelings. Their relationship had been difficult, but now they are in love. As the Rangers leave, Wes's father says he will offer the Silver Guardians' help for free. He asks Wes to lead them. Wes agrees, but only if Eric co-leads with him. Eric accepts. Wes ends the series by saying, "I think the future looks pretty bright."
