Super Sentai facts for kids
Super Sentai is a really popular Japanese TV show series that has been on the air since 1975! It's a type of show called tokusatsu, which means "special effects" in Japanese. Think of it like a live-action superhero show with lots of cool costumes, explosions, and giant robots!
Each year, there's a new Super Sentai team with different heroes, powers, and stories. You might even know some of these shows because many of them are adapted into the American Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series! So, if you've watched Power Rangers, you've seen Super Sentai in action. The shows are broadcast in Japan on the TV Asahi television network.

What is Super Sentai?
Super Sentai shows are all about teamwork and fighting evil. Usually, a group of five (sometimes more!) heroes gets special powers or technology. They wear colorful suits, often with helmets, and each hero has a unique color, like red, blue, yellow, green, or pink.
Fighting Villains
The heroes work together to stop bad guys who want to take over the world or cause trouble. They use cool martial arts moves, special weapons, and sometimes even vehicles. When the villains grow to giant size, the heroes call on their giant robots, called "Megazords" in Power Rangers, to fight them in epic battles!
The Story Each Season
Every Super Sentai season tells a new story with a new team. This means you can jump into almost any season and understand what's happening without needing to watch all the previous ones. The stories often teach important lessons about friendship, courage, and never giving up.
