Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger (機界戦隊ゼンカイジャー, Kikai Sentai Zenkaijā, Mecha World Squadron Zenkaiger) is a Japanese TV show about superheroes. It is the 45th series in the very popular Super Sentai franchise. This show also celebrates the 45th anniversary of the Super Sentai series. It is a special anniversary show, like Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger was before it.
The show followed Mashin Sentai Kiramager and was part of the Super Hero Time block on TV Asahi. It started airing on March 7, 2021. The name Zenkaiger comes from the team's catchphrase, "Zenryoku Zenkai" (全力全開, meaning "full throttle"). A new series, Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, aired after Zenkaiger finished.
Zenkaiger was also shown in South Korea as Power Rangers Zenkaiger.

Story of Zenkaiger
A month before the story begins, something strange happened. The human world suddenly joined with a world called Kikaitopia. Kikaitopia had already taken over and sealed away many other worlds, including those of the previous 44 Super Sentai teams. Even with this big change, humans and the robot-like people from Kikaitopia, called Kikainoids, quickly became friends and lived together peacefully.
But now, their peaceful lives are in danger. The evil rulers of Kikaitopia, called the Tozitend Dynasty, want to conquer all worlds. To stop them, a brave and energetic young man named Kaito Goshikida gets the powers of all past Super Sentai heroes. He transforms into Zenkaizer. Kaito teams up with four Kikainoids: Juran, Gaon, Magine, and Vroon. Together, they become the Zenkaigers. Their mission is to save all the different worlds from the Tozitend and to find Kaito's missing parents.
Later, things get even more exciting when the World Pirates arrive. Their leader is Zocks Goldtsuiker, who can transform into Twokaizer. The World Pirates also fight against the Tozitend, but for their own reasons. Sometimes, they even work with the Zenkaigers to help save the day.

How the Show Was Made
The idea for Zenkaiger was officially registered by Toei Company on September 8, 2020.
The show's producer, Shinichiro Shirakura, explained why the team has a human and four Kikainoids. He said that Super Sentai shows often have diverse groups of heroes. They wanted to keep this idea while making sure each character was strong. Zenkaizer, the leader, was chosen to be white. This helps him stand out when he appears with other Red Rangers in future crossover shows.
The four Kikainoids' hero forms are based on giant robots from past Super Sentai series.
- Zenkai Zyuran is based on Daizyujin from Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger.
- Zenkai Gaon is based on Gao King from Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger.
- Zenkai Magine is based on Magi King from Mahō Sentai Magiranger.
- Zenkai Vroom is based on DaiBouken from GoGo Sentai Boukenger.
The creators were open to having past heroes appear in some episodes. However, they did not want it to be exactly like Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, which featured many past heroes. The Zenkaigers combine to form their giant robot, ZenkaiOh. The first idea was for their combined forms to be human-sized, but this changed to match toy releases. This idea was later used in the next series, Avataro Sentai Donbrothers.
During the show's run, the voice actor for Gege, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, took a break. Because of this, Gege did not have a voice in episodes 21 to 25. Later, Masaya Fukunishi took over the role of Gege from episode 25 onwards.

Red Battle! All Sentai Great Assemble!!
This movie, Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger the Movie: Red Battle! All Sentai Great Assemble!! (機界戦隊ゼンカイジャー THE MOVIE 赤い戦い！オール戦隊大集会!!), was the official first appearance of the Zenkaigers. It was released in Japanese cinemas on February 20, 2021. It was shown as part of a special movie event called Super Sentai Movie Ranger 2021 (スーパー戦隊MOVIEレンジャー2021). The events of this movie happen between episode 6 of the TV series and a special web series.
Super Hero Senki
Saber + Zenkaiger: Super Hero Senki (セイバー＋ゼンカイジャー スーパーヒーロー戦記, Seibā Zenkaijā Sūpā Hīrō Senki) is a crossover movie released on July 22, 2021. It stars the characters from Zenkaiger and Kamen Rider Saber. It also features characters from many past Super Sentai and Kamen Rider shows. This movie was part of the celebrations for both the 45th anniversary of Super Sentai and the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider. The events of this movie happen between two special TV episodes and episode 21 of the series.

Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger vs. Kiramager vs. Senpaiger (機界戦隊ゼンカイジャーVSキラメイジャーVSセンパイジャー, Kikai Sentai Zenkaijā Tai Kirameijā Tai Senpaijā) is a direct-to-video movie, also known as a V-Cinema. It features a crossover between Zenkaiger and Mashin Sentai Kiramager. The movie was shown in theaters for a short time on April 29, 2022. Then, it was released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 28, 2022. The events of this movie happen after the final episode of the Zenkaiger TV series.
Donbrothers vs. Zenkaiger
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers vs. Zenkaiger (暴太郎戦隊ドンブラザーズVSゼンカイジャー, Abatarō Sentai Donburazāzu Tai Zenkaijā) is another direct-to-video movie. It features a crossover between Zenkaiger and Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. This movie was released in theaters for a limited time on May 3, 2023. The DVD and Blu-ray versions came out on September 27, 2023. The story is split into three parts. It shows what happens to the Donbrothers and Zenkaigers after their own TV series, before they team up in the last part. The events of this movie take place a year after the final episode of Donbrothers.

- In Hong Kong, the Cantonese version was planned for March 13, 2022. However, due to the pandemic, it started later on June 5, 2022, on TVB Jade. It finished airing on May 28, 2023, with all episodes dubbed. This was the last Super Sentai series to air on TVB Jade.
