Gerald Michael Charlebois (born April 17, 1929), known professionally as Michael Forest, is an American actor. He is famous for voicing characters in many animated shows and movies, and for playing the powerful god Apollo in the classic TV series Star Trek.

Early Life and Education

Michael Forest was born in Harvey, North Dakota. When he was very young, his family moved to Seattle, Washington. He later studied at San Jose State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Drama.

Michael Forest has had a long and interesting career in acting. He has worked in films, television, and especially as a voice actor for animated shows.

Famous Roles in TV and Film

One of his most well-known roles was playing Apollo, a powerful god, in the 1967 Star Trek episode "Who Mourns for Adonais?" Years later, he returned to play Apollo again in the Star Trek Continues episode "Pilgrim of Eternity". His wife, actress Diana Hale, also appeared in this episode.

He also had a guest role as a priest in a 1964 episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show.

Voice Acting for Animated Shows

At 71 years old, Michael Forest lent his voice to the character of Prince Olympius in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. He has voiced many characters in Japanese animated shows, known as anime, and in animated films.
