What's the Story About?
The movie starts with Gohan, Krillin, Bulma, and Oolong on a fun camping trip. Suddenly, a big forest fire breaks out! Gohan and Krillin quickly put out the flames. They use the magical Dragon Balls to bring the forest and its animals back to life. Gohan even makes a new friend, a small dragon he calls Icarus.
But this fire wasn't an accident. It was started by a probe from a space pirate named Turles. Turles is a Saiyan, just like Goku! He wants to plant something called the Tree of Might on Earth. This evil tree sucks up all the life energy from a planet. Then, it grows a special fruit that makes anyone who eats it super powerful.
Turles's helpers plant the seed, and soon the Earth starts to suffer. Water disappears, and plants and animals begin to die. King Kai warns Goku about the danger. Goku and his friends, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu, try to destroy the tree. They use their energy blasts, but it's too strong. Turles's henchmen attack them, and the heroes are in trouble.
Turles then meets Gohan and realizes he's Goku's son. He sees that Gohan is also a Saiyan and has amazing power. Turles tries to get Gohan to join his evil plans, but Gohan refuses. Gohan tries to fight Turles, but Piccolo steps in to save him. Turles easily defeats Piccolo.
Next, Turles creates a fake moon. He forces Gohan to look at it, which makes Gohan turn into a giant, raging Great Ape! Gohan, in his ape form, attacks Goku. But then, Icarus appears, and Gohan calms down. Turles hurts Icarus, making Gohan furious again. Goku quickly cuts off Gohan's tail, turning him back to normal. This saves Gohan from Turles's attacks.
Goku then defeats Turles's helpers. He starts a big fight with Turles, who looks a lot like him. Goku is doing well until Turles eats a fruit from the Tree of Might. This makes Turles incredibly strong, and he starts to beat Goku.
Goku's friends come to help him fight Turles. While they distract Turles, Goku tries to create a Spirit Bomb. This is a powerful energy ball made from the life force of living things. But the Earth is so drained by the Tree of Might that Goku can't gather enough energy. Turles destroys his weak Spirit Bomb.
However, something amazing happens! The energy from the Tree of Might starts flowing into Goku. This gives him the power to make a new, much stronger Spirit Bomb. Goku throws this powerful attack, which finally destroys Turles and the evil Tree of Might. With Turles gone and the tree destroyed, the Earth begins to heal, and our heroes celebrate their victory!
