Cathy Weseluck is a talented Canadian actress and comedian. She often works with a group called Ocean Productions in Vancouver, British Columbia. You might know her voice from popular shows like Death Note, where she played Near, or as Cybersix in Cybersix. She's also famous for voicing Spike in Discovery Family's My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

Cathy Weseluck has family roots from Russia. Her relatives came from areas that were once part of the Russian Empire or the Soviet Union, which is now the country of Belarus.
Her Amazing Career
Radio Days
Before she became a voice actress, Cathy Weseluck worked at CBC Radio. She was an associate producer, which means she helped put radio shows together. One day, a host encouraged her to try voice acting. Her very first voice job was for a radio advertisement for the Vancouver Centre Mall.
Voice Acting Roles
Cathy Weseluck has lent her voice to many cartoon and anime series. She has played characters like Mirai Yashima in Mobile Suit Gundam and Dorothy Catalonia in Gundam Wing. She was also Near in Death Note and Cybersix in Cybersix.
You might also recognize her voice as Shampoo in Ranma 1⁄2 and Kagome's mother in Inuyasha. She also voiced Kid Trunks, Chiaotzu, and Puar in Dragon Ball Z. A big role for her is voicing Spike and other characters in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
