The Deep is a cool animated TV show based on a comic book by Tom Taylor and James Brouwer. The show was made by A Stark Production from Australia and WildBrain Studios (formerly Nerd Corps Entertainment) from Canada. It first aired in Australia on 7two in December 2015. Then, it came to Canada on Family Chrgd the next month. Good news for fans: a third season was announced in 2018!

About the Show: Exploring the Ocean's Secrets

The show is all about the Nekton family. They are a family of brave underwater explorers. They live on an amazing, super high-tech submarine called the Aronnax. Their main goal is to explore parts of the Earth's oceans that no one has ever seen before. They want to solve all the mysteries hidden deep down.

The Nekton family has a special connection to these ocean riddles. Their ancestors (family members from a long time ago) tried to find the lost city of Lemuria. They never gave up! Now, thanks to their friend Nereus, the Nektons know why they feel so drawn to these underwater puzzles. It turns out they are related to the ancient people of Lemuria!
