Brian Drummond (born August 10, 1969) is a famous Canadian voice actor. You may not know his face, but you have probably heard his voice in many popular cartoons, anime shows, and video games. He is known for playing powerful villains and strong heroes.

Drummond and his wife, Laura Drummond, who is also a voice actor, used to be on the board of directors for a school called Urban Academy in New Westminster, British Columbia.

From Stage to Studio

Brian Drummond was born in Salmon Arm, a city in British Columbia, Canada. He trained to be an actor at a well-known school called Studio 58. At first, he acted in plays on stage. But soon, he discovered a love for voice acting and made it his full-time job. He does most of his voice work in Vancouver.

Famous Voice Roles

Drummond has voiced hundreds of characters in his long career. He is especially famous for his work in anime, which is a style of animation from Japan.

The Voice of Vegeta

One of Drummond's most famous roles is the voice of Vegeta in the Ocean Productions English version of the anime Dragon Ball Z. He also voiced other characters in the show, like Yajirobe and Vegito.

His performance as Vegeta led to one of the internet's most famous memes. The line "It's Over 9000!" was shouted by Drummond as Vegeta in an episode that first aired in 1997. Years later, in 2006, the clip became a huge hit online.

In a special crossover, Drummond even voiced a clone of Vegeta in Dragon Ball Super. He got to work with Christopher Sabat, the actor who voices Vegeta in the more common Funimation version of the show.

Besides Dragon Ball Z, Drummond has played many other important characters. He is often chosen for roles of strong warriors or kind father figures.

Personal Life

Brian Drummond is married to Laura Drummond. They have three children: a son named Aidan (born 1995) and two daughters, Brynna (born 1997) and Ashlyn.

His children have followed him into voice acting. His daughter, Brynna, voiced Babs Seed in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, a show her father also worked on. His son, Aidan, was the voice of the main character in the animated series Eon Kid.
