About the Show's Story
In Gadget & the Gadgetinis, Lieutenant Gadget joins a special global group. This group is called the World Organization of Mega Powers, or WOMP. His job is to fight crime around the world.
Gadget now has two small robot helpers named the Gadgetinis. Penny, Gadget's niece, created these robots. They are like tiny versions of Gadget himself. The Gadgetinis often get into funny trouble because of Gadget's silly mistakes.
Meet the Characters
- Lt. Gadget (voiced by Maurice LaMarche) – Gadget is still a cyborg, meaning he's part human, part machine. He has many new gadgets built into him. He often doesn't notice when the bad guys, M.A.D., are around. This sometimes makes it easier for them to try their evil plans. But usually, their plans fail by accident. Gadget looks a bit different now. His hat and coat are dark grey, and he often wears green sunglasses.
- The Gadgetinis (voiced by Maurice LaMarche) – These are two small robots named Fidget and Digit. Penny made them after Brain, the dog, retired. They help Gadget on his missions. Both robots have their own hidden gadgets. They can also talk to Penny using video screens in their chests.
- Fidget is the orange robot. He gets scared easily and sometimes acts like a human, like feeling pain.
- Digit is the blue robot. He is smarter and more serious. He often reminds Fidget that he is a robot.
- Penny (voiced by Tegan Moss) – Penny is Gadget's smart 12-year-old niece. She created the Gadgetinis. Instead of secretly following Gadget, she helps from home. She uses her laptop and other cool tech tools in the attic. Penny sometimes gets a bit impatient, but she always helps solve the mysteries.
- Colonel Nozzaire (voiced by Colin Murdock) – Colonel Nozzaire is Gadget's new boss. He doesn't like Gadget much because Gadget is clumsy and often causes trouble. Nozzaire tries to go on missions himself. But he usually gets caught by M.A.D. or hurt because of Gadget.
- General Sir (voiced by Alvin Sanders) – General Sir leads WOMP. He gives missions to Gadget. He doesn't seem to notice Gadget's mistakes. General Sir likes Gadget more than Nozzaire.
- Doctor Claw (voiced by Brian Drummond) – Doctor Claw is the main villain. Unlike the old show, you can sometimes see his legs and body. His special gloves are now gold. When he gets angry, he scratches his chair instead of hitting his desk. Doctor Claw also has a brother named Doctor Thaw and a nephew named William.
- MAD Cat (vocal effects by Ellen Kennedy) – This is Doctor Claw's pet cat.
- Maryland Claw (voiced by Teryl Rothery) – She is Doctor Claw's mother and William's grandmother. She has more power over Claw and can even stop his evil plans. Only her right hand is usually seen, just like her son.
- Ms. Miffet – She is General Sir's secretary. Like Nozzaire, she doesn't like Gadget's antics because they often bother her.
- Brain – After years of Gadget mistaking him for a bad guy, Brain is now very nervous. He lives in a small house by a lake.
- Chief Quimby – He is now an agent for WOMP. He works as a top helper for General Sir at the Cryptic Intelligence Agency. He still uses self-destructing messages, just like in the old series.
