Geronimo Stilton is an exciting animated TV show for kids. It's based on the popular book series by Elisabetta Dami. The show is also known as The New Adventures of Geronimo Stilton in its third season.
This series was made by Italian companies Atlantyca Entertainment and Rai Fiction. For the first two seasons, they worked with the French studio Moonscoop LLC. In the third season, Superprod, Back UP Media, and CNC joined in.
The show has 78 episodes spread across three seasons. It first aired in Italy on Rai 2 on September 15, 2009. The second season started on October 24, 2011, and the third season on October 8, 2016. The series finished on February 28, 2017.
The TV show is a bit different from the books. For example, Geronimo is much braver in the TV series. Also, some characters from the books, like the Thea Sisters, don't appear in the show.

About the Show: Geronimo's Adventures
The Geronimo Stilton TV show follows the main character, Geronimo Stilton. He is a mouse who works as a journalist and runs a big media company. Geronimo travels around New Mouse City and the world looking for exciting news stories.
He goes on these adventures with his nephew Benjamin, his cousin Trap, his sister Thea, and Benjamin's friend Pandora Woz. Most episodes tell a complete story on their own. However, some episodes might have small connections to others.
Meet the Characters: Geronimo and Friends
Main Characters
- Geronimo Stilton (voiced by Brian Drummond) is the main character. He publishes The Rodent's Gazette newspaper. He is also the head of the Geronimo Stilton Media Group. In the show, Geronimo is quite brave, even though in the books he was more timid. He loves learning new things and has a strong sense of right and wrong. Even though he's smart, he can sometimes be a bit clumsy. He works with his sister Thea, cousin Trap, and nephew Benjamin.
- Thea Stilton (voiced by Sarah Edmondson) is Geronimo's younger sister. She is a special reporter for The Rodent's Gazette. Thea is always ready for action and is skilled in martial arts and sports. She flies the team's special vehicle, the Metamouse. This vehicle can change into a submarine, boat, airship, rocket, or SUV. Thea uses it to take the team to different places for their articles. She also rides a motorcycle and flies a helicopter, just like in the books.
- Trap Stilton (voiced by Richard Ian Cox) is Geronimo's cousin. He lives in a cool trailer in a park. Trap is a great chef, but Geronimo doesn't usually like his cooking! He often joins Geronimo on his adventures. Trap loves to play jokes on others, especially Geronimo, who he thinks is easy to trick. But Trap has a kind heart and doesn't mean to be hurtful. He also gets scared easily.
- Benjamin Stilton (voiced by Erin Mathews) is Geronimo's 12-year-old nephew. He is super smart with computers and electronics. Benjamin is energetic and lively, but he can sometimes be a bit impatient. He loves skateboarding and sports. Benjamin helps his uncle at The Rodent's Gazette by running a computer news blog after school. He has a robot mouse as a pet named Max.
- Pandora Woz (voiced by Moneca Stori in season 1 and Monica Smouter in seasons 2–3) is Benjamin's best friend. She is very excited about Geronimo's adventures and often joins them. Pandora gets along well with Thea because they both have a lot of energy. She also likes to play pranks with Trap. Pandora can sometimes get distracted easily, which can lead her into tricky situations. She has a pet hamster named Mr. Nibbles.
Other Characters You Might See
- Sally Ratmousen (voiced by Patricia Drake) is often the main bad guy in the series. She runs The Daily Rat, which is the main newspaper competing with Geronimo's The Rodent's Gazette. Sally often causes problems for the Stilton family in New Mouse City. She has a personal rivalry with Geronimo.
- Simon Squealer (voiced by Brian Drummond) works for Sally at The Daily Rat. He helps Sally with her plans and will do anything to keep his job. Simon tries hard to find secrets about famous mice in New Mouse City.
- Chippy P. Crunchrat (voiced by David Kaye) is a very greedy businessman. He wants to be famous and rich, even if it means doing bad things. Geronimo Stilton has stopped his plans many times, but Crunchrat usually gets away. He is a recurring villain from season two onwards.
- Professor von Volt (voiced by Lee Tockar) is a smart scientist and inventor. He is an old friend of Geronimo. He invented Benjamin's special Benpad and fixed his robot mouse. Professor von Volt often stays in his lab doing experiments. He sometimes helps Geronimo when he needs it.
- Ratswami (voiced by Alistair Abell) is a hypnotist in New Mouse City. He once hypnotized everyone in the city. He is a recurring character in season one.
- Prince Nogouda (voiced by Trevor Devall) is a prince who is very afraid of germs. He lives in a palace in the Bandell jungle. He has captured rare animals from around the world.
- Professor Cheesewheel (voiced by Scott McNeil) is a mad scientist and robot maker. He has tried to steal advanced airships and even the intelligence of smart people.
- William Shortpaws (voiced by Scott McNeil) is Geronimo's grandfather. He used to own The Rodent's Gazette. He started his newspaper business by selling papers when he was a kid. Now, he watches over Geronimo's company, making sure things are done his way. He sometimes visits The Rodent's Gazette to check on Geronimo, even though he is retired.
- Shadow (voiced by Kathleen Barr) is a famous thief in New Mouse City. She is very good at disguises. Geronimo has met her when she was dressed as a mummy and when she worked for Sally.
- Bree Cheeserind (voiced by Sam Vincent) is a big celebrity actor. Pandora is a huge fan of him. He has been part of some of Geronimo Stilton's adventures. He is kind, generous, and loves nature.
- Philipilino (voiced by Trevor Devall) is a very famous fashion designer. He has met Geronimo on a few occasions.
- King Liu Shi Mew (voiced by Sam Vincent) is a young and modern king of Whiskeristan. He is a very close friend of the Stilton family.
- The Ratoff family are distant relatives of the Stiltons. They live in Transratania and meet up with the Stiltons when they visit.
- The Rat-Jitsu Clan is a special group of martial artists and ninjas. They are good friends with Geronimo and his family. The Stiltons even became members of their clan after helping them twice.
How the Show Was Made
The Geronimo Stilton series was created by Atlantyca and Rai Fiction in Italy. For the first two seasons, Moonscoop LLC in France also helped. In season 3, M6 and Superprod in France joined the production team.
On April 15, 2010, it was announced that a second season of 26 episodes would be made. This season first aired in Italy on October 24, 2011. A third season was announced on February 6, 2013. On October 14, 2014, it was shared that Superprod would help with the third season, taking over from Moonscoop LLC.
The show's animation was done using a software called Toon Boom Harmony. The actual animation work was done by studios in the Philippines (Toon City, Snipple Animation) and South Korea (Dong Woo Animation).

Where it Aired
Geronimo Stilton first aired in Italy on Rai 2 on September 15, 2009. Later, it also aired on Rai Gulp. The series was shown in many other countries too. For example, it aired on YTV in Canada, M6 in France, and Cartoon Network in Spain. In the United States, you could watch it on Kabillion's video-on-demand service. The third season debuted in Canada on Knowledge on June 30, 2018. You can also find the series streaming on Netflix.
DVD Releases
In Canada, the first two seasons were released on DVD by Imavision between 2010 and 2013. These DVDs were available in both English and French. Later, Unidisc, another company, released the third season in 2017.
In the United States, Entertainment One released 16 episodes from the first season across four different DVDs between 2013 and 2015.
In Australia, the first season was released on four DVD volumes in 2014. These were distributed by Universal and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
