Family Chrgd (stylized as family CHRGD and pronounced "Family Charged") is a Canadian TV channel. It shows exciting live-action and animated TV shows for kids and teens aged 6 to 15. The channel is owned by a company called WildBrain.

Channel History: From Disney XD to Family Chrgd

The channel first started on June 1, 2011. Back then, it was known as Disney XD in Canada. It was owned by a company called Astral Media. Disney XD was like a sister channel to Family Channel. At that time, Family Channel had the rights to show programs from Disney Channel.

Later, a company called Bell Media bought Astral Media. Because of this, Disney XD was sold to DHX Media (which is now called WildBrain).

On October 9, 2015, the channel changed its name to Family Chrgd. This happened because another company, Corus Entertainment, got the rights to Disney's kids' shows in Canada. This led to a new Disney XD channel being launched by Corus. So, the original Disney XD in Canada became Family Chrgd.
