Just Like Mom and Dad is a fun Canadian TV show. It's a game show for families! The show was made by a company called marblemedia. It's based on a popular old game show from the 1980s called Just Like Mom. This new version started in January 2018. It was shown on Yes TV in Canada and BYU TV in the United States. A husband and wife team, Sandy Jobin-Bevans and Kylee Evans, host the show.

What is Just Like Mom and Dad?
This TV show is a family game show. It has 20 episodes. Each episode lasts about 30 minutes. The show first aired in January 2018. It's all about how well parents and kids know each other.
How the Game Works
In each episode, three parent-child teams compete. They play three rounds of fun challenges. These challenges help show how much they know about each other. The game works a lot like the original show from the 1980s.
- Round 1: Questions
* Teams answer questions. * Correct answers are worth 5 or 10 points.
- Round 2: More Questions
* This round also has questions. * Correct answers earn 15 or 20 seconds.
- Round 3: The Bake-Off and Taste Test
* Kids prepare three different treats. * Parents taste all three treats. * Parents then guess which treat their own child made. * They hold up numbered paddles to show their guess. * The team with the lowest score goes first in this round. * A correct guess earns 50 points!
Winning the Big Prize
The team with the most points wins the game! The winning child gets to spin a big wheel. This wheel has 12 sections, each with a different prize. The top prize is an amazing family vacation. It's an all-inclusive trip to Mexico! Sunwing Airlines helped sponsor this special prize. The original show offered a trip to Walt Disney World.
Show History
The first Canadian show, Just Like Mom, was very popular. It ran for five seasons from 1980 to 1985. Over 600 episodes were made! It was shown on the CTV channel.
In 2009, marblemedia got the rights to remake the show. They made a deal with Bell Media, which owned CTV. Bell Media is also part of making the new show.
Awards and Recognition
Just Like Mom and Dad has won an important award. At the 8th Canadian Screen Awards in 2020, it won for Best Children's or Youth Non-Fiction Program. This is a big honor for a kids' TV show!
