What the Show is About
The story of Overruled! follows Jared "The Coop" Cooper and his friends. They all work together in their high school's Teen Court.
- Tara Bohun is the judge.
- Russell "Rusty" Dougal is the court clerk.
- Coop and Kaleigh Stewart are the lawyers.
Many of the court cases involve the friends themselves. This means they have to try and be fair in court, even when their friendships or feelings get in the way. This often leads to funny or tricky situations!
Meet the Characters
Here are the main characters you'll meet in Overruled!:
- Jared "Coop" Cooper (Jacob Kraemer): Coop is 15 years old and a cool, charming guy. He loves playing drums, sports, and hanging out. He never thought he'd join an after-school club like Teen Court. But when he becomes a lawyer there, he finds out his charm and confidence are perfect for legal work! Throughout the show, Coop seems to like Kaeleigh.
- Kaeleigh Stewart (Sally Taylor-Isherwood): Kaeleigh is also 15. In the courtroom, she's very serious and organized. Outside of court, she tries to relax, but Coop might say she's still pretty serious! Kaeleigh loves being a lawyer because it's a place where she feels completely in control. She knows exactly what to do and say. But outside of court, she's just as unsure about being a teenager as anyone else. She also seems to like Coop.
- Russell "Rusty" Dougal (Nick Spencer): Rusty is 15 and takes his job as court clerk very seriously. He might seem a bit clumsy, but he usually makes sure everything runs smoothly in court. Rusty is very proud of his court. When court is over, he's just a regular, sometimes awkward, teenager. He is also known for being very loyal.
- Tara Bohun (Jasmine Richards): Tara is 15 and the happy-go-lucky judge of Banting High's Teen Court. She might seem a bit silly or disorganized, but her unique way of looking at things always leads to very smart decisions. Even though her ideas can sound strange, her courtroom decisions show great understanding and clarity. She has a sharp legal mind hidden under her trendy clothes!
- Jordana 'Jordy' Cooper (Sara Waisglass): Jordy is Coop's younger sister. Like many siblings, she enjoys teasing her brother. She is very smart for her age and gets along well with her friends. She is a gifted student.
