About the Show
This show is about a fifteen-year-old boy named Tripp Campbell. He lives in Los Angeles, California. Tripp has a big dream: he wants to be part of his favorite old-school rock band, Iron Weasel.
One day, Tripp wins a radio contest. The prize is dinner with Iron Weasel! He gets to meet his heroes. At the dinner, Tripp shows off his amazing guitar skills. He plays so well that he actually gets to join the band as the lead guitarist!
Iron Weasel has three older, funny members:
- Derek Jupiter, the lead singer.
- Burger Pitt, the bass player.
- Ash, the drummer.
At first, the band members are not sure about having a kid in their group. They worry it might make them seem less cool. But Tripp offers them a place to stay in his guest room. He also plays really well at a school assembly that he took over. So, they agree to let Tripp join.
Tripp also convinces his mom, Beth, that the band members will be good role models for him. The band tries to help Tripp through his high school years. They want to turn him into a real rock star. Tripp's best friend, Izzy Fuentes, is also part of the adventure. Izzy is an aspiring singer who tries to keep Tripp out of trouble.
Tripp has big plans for Iron Weasel. He wants to help them make a huge comeback. He tries to book concert tours and get famous music agents to listen to their songs.
But the members of Iron Weasel often get into funny and awkward situations. For example, their big nationwide concert tour ends up being only three shows. Another time, people protest their music because of a silly video they made. No matter what problems they face, Tripp and his bandmates always work together. They find a way to solve their issues and keep playing the rock n' roll they love.
