Zak Storm (also known as Zak Storm: Super Pirate) is an exciting computer animated TV series. It was created by several companies like Zagtoon and Man of Action. The show first aired in France on December 2, 2016. In the United States, it was shown on KidsClick and later on Discovery Family. A second season is currently being made!

The Story of Zak Storm

When a teenager named Zak Storm goes surfing, he gets pulled into a giant wave. He finds himself in the mysterious Bermuda Triangle! There, he's rescued by a living pirate ship called the Chaos and meets a talking sword named Calabrass.

Zak learns that his necklace holds a special gem called the Eye of Beru. This gem gives him amazing powers! To get back home, he must become the captain of the Chaos and bring together the Seven Seas of the Triangle. He gathers a unique crew to help him: a ghost boy, an Atlantean princess, a strong Viking, and a clever space alien.

Main Heroes

• Conrad Zacharie Storm (or "Zak Storm") is a 13-year-old boy. He gets pulled into the Bermuda Triangle while surfing. Zak is voiced by Michael Johnston in English.
• Chrysta Coraline Lejune (or "Cece Lejune") is an Atlantean princess. She is Zak Storm's first mate and helps him stay focused. Cece is voiced by Christine Marie Cabanos in English.
• Crogar is a 15-year-old Viking pirate. He is the strong one of the crew, often shouting "Ragnarok!" in battle. Crogar is voiced by Chris Smith in English.
• Caramba is a small green alien. He wears a yellow suit and is the engineer for the crew. He is voiced by Max Mittelman in English.
• Clovis is a 7-year-old "Ectoplasmic-spectre-of-awesome." He is bound to the ship Chaos and is in a ghost-like form. Clovis is voiced by Reba Buhr in English.
• Calabrass is Zak's magical talking sword and his mentor. Calabrass holds the Seven Eyes of the Seven Seas. These Eyes give Zak different elemental powers and change Calabrass into new weapons. Calabrass is voiced by Kyle Hebert in English.
• The Chaos is a living, high-tech pirate ship. It doesn't talk but acts like a crew member. The Chaos is very loyal to its crew and helps Zak escape danger.

Other Important Characters

• Skullivar is an undead, dark ruler. He commands an army of skeletons and wants to take over the Triangle. Skullivar is Zak's main enemy. He tries to steal the Seven Eyes for himself. Skullivar is voiced by David Roach in English.
• Golden Bones is Skullivar's undead skeleton leader. He captains a ship called Demoniac. He dislikes Zak because Zak, "just a kid," always defeats him. Golden Bones is voiced by Matthew Mercer.
• Zephyra is the daughter of Sassafras. She is half human and half Zitean. She has a magical moon necklace and helps Zak's crew in one episode.
• Sassafras is a witch who helps Zak and his crew. She is voiced by Jessica Gee-George in English.
• Alan Gamble is a pirate who is seen as a "hero," but he doesn't always act like one.
• Anubis is the guardian of Dezer's Waypoint. He controls sand, giant scorpions, and mummy helpers. He takes his job very seriously.
• Lemurians are creatures who live underwater. They fight against the Atlanteans. They wear armor made of living obsidian.
  • Admiral T'Halis is a strong Lemurian general. He hates Atlanteans and humans. He wants to conquer Atlantis and all the seas.
  • Lemurian Commander looks like the guards but has red armor.
  • Lemurian Guard wears armor similar to ancient Spartan armor.

Where to Watch Zak Storm

Zak Storm was planned to air on many TV channels around the world. In France, it was on Gulli. In Indonesia, it aired on RCTI and GTV. Other countries where it aired include Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, the US, Canada, and more. You could also find it on Netflix in the United States.

Home Videos

In 2018, Shout! Factory Kids made a deal to release Zak Storm DVDs in North America. Other companies released DVDs in Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

DVDs in North America (Region 1)

Four DVD volumes from season one were released in the United States and Canada. They included both English and French audio.

• Volume 1 came out on March 13, 2018.
• Volume 2 was released on June 6, 2018.
• Volume 3 was released on May 17, 2019.
• Volume 4 was released on January 30, 2020.

After Volume 4, no more Region 1 DVDs were released for Zak Storm.

In the UK, several DVDs were released for Zak Storm.

• The first DVD, Zak Storm Volume 1: Origins & Other Stories, came out on July 1, 2019.
• Zak Storm Volume 2: A Jellyfish of Legend and other Stories was released on October 7, 2019.
• Zak Storm Volume 3: The Labyrinth of the Minotaur and Other Stories was released on March 2, 2020.

After Volume 3, a different company, Dazzler Media, took over releasing the DVDs.

• Zak Storm Volume 4: Island of the Lost Storm & Other Stories was released on August 3, 2020.
• Zak Storm Volume 5: Viking Connexion & Other Stories was released on October 5, 2020.
