PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk, often called MNC Media or just MNC, is a big media company in Indonesia. Its main job is to create content for TV, radio, and other platforms.
MNC owns and runs four TV channels that you can watch for free: RCTI, MNCTV, GTV, and iNews. They also have 19 special TV channels that you pay to watch, under their MNC Channels group. Besides TV, MNC is involved in many other media businesses. This includes radio stations, newspapers, magazines, and even managing talented artists. The company works as a complete media group, handling many different types of media.

A Look Back: History of MNC Media
MNC Media started on June 17, 1997. Back then, it was called PT Panca Andika Mandiri.
The company changed its name to PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk on September 12, 2002.
On June 22, 2007, MNC Media's shares were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This means people could buy and sell parts of the company. Its special stock symbol is MNCN.
In June 2016, a company called Creador invested money in MNCN. Creador is a firm that invests in businesses in Southeast and South Asia. This investment helped MNC Media make more TV shows and improve its free TV services across Indonesia.
Who Owns MNC Media?
MNC Media is owned by a company called PT Global Mediacom Tbk. This company used to be known as PT Bimantara Citra Tbk.
In turn, PT Global Mediacom Tbk is owned by MNC Asia Holding. On October 17, 2011, an investment company from Los Angeles, Saban Capital Group, bought a 7.5% share of MNC Media.
What MNC Media Does
MNC is the biggest network for free-to-air TV channels in Indonesia. This means their channels are available to everyone without a subscription fee.
The group also has three pay TV networks: Indovision, Okevision, and Top TV. These channels require a subscription to watch.
MNC operates Sindo Media, which includes the Koran Sindo newspaper. It also runs a news website called sindonews.com and a magazine called Sindo Weekly Magazine. Other popular websites they manage are Okezone, Celebrities.id, and Sportstars.id.
