The New Adventures of Figaro Pho facts for kids

Kids Encyclopedia Facts

The New Adventures of Figaro Pho is an exciting Australian animated TV show made for kids. It's the follow-up series to The Adventures of Figaro Pho, which first came out in 2012.

Both shows are all about a character named Figaro Pho. He's a bit special because he has almost every fear you can imagine! What makes these shows really unique is that there's hardly any talking at all. Instead, the stories are told through amazing animation, cool music, and fun sound effects. Figaro Pho has starred in two TV seasons, a series of short films, and even three touchscreen games!

Where to Watch Figaro Pho

You can find the first series of Figaro Pho in over 100 countries! It's available on popular streaming services like Hulu and Netflix. In Latin America, you can watch it on Cartoon Network Latin America and Pakapaka. It also aired on BBC Canada and you can buy episodes on iTunes. In Canada, the show was shown on both Family Channel and CHRGD.

How Figaro Pho Was Made

Figaro Pho was created by a talented person named Luke Jurevicius, who is an animation director. The TV shows and games are produced by an Australian company called Chocolate Liberation Front.

Interestingly, Luke Jurevicius himself has fears and phobias, just like Figaro! He used his own experiences to help create the show. Luke doesn't just direct the program; he also does many important jobs. He is the voice of Figaro Pho and writes a lot of the music for the show.

The very first short films of Figaro Pho were supported by the South Australian Film Corporation and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. They wanted an innovative show for ABC2 and their online platform. The show later aired on ABC1, ABC2, ABC3, and ABC iView. Because the original shorts were so popular, ABC Kids ordered 39 episodes of The Adventures of Figaro Pho for ABC3.

In 2014, the producers at Chocolate Liberation Front teamed up with Luma Toons. Luma Toons is a new part of a big special effects studio called Luma Pictures. Together, they made 39 episodes for the second series, which is The New Adventures of Figaro Pho. This show was made entirely in Australia and was the first long series produced by Luma. The New Adventures of Figaro Pho started airing in August 2015.

Figaro Pho Games

In 2014, ABC Commercial released three games based on Figaro Pho for touch screen devices. These games are available for download on iTunes and the Google Play store.
