Family Jr. is a Canadian TV channel especially for young kids, like preschoolers. It's part of the Family Channel, which means if you have Family Channel, you usually get Family Jr. too! It started on November 30, 2007.
Before it was called Family Jr., this channel had different names. It used to be known as Playhouse Disney and then later as Disney Junior. But in 2015, another company called Corus Entertainment got the rights to Disney Junior shows in Canada. So, the channel changed its name to Family Jr. and started showing new programs.
Family Jr. is available in many homes across Canada, reaching over 4 million families by 2013. It also has a French-language sister channel called Télémagino. Since it's a bonus channel for Family Channel subscribers, you don't pay extra to watch it.
