Hey Duggee is a super fun British animated TV show for young kids, usually aged two to five. It was created by Grant Orchard and made by Studio AKA with BBC Studios. The show is narrated by the voice actor Alexander Armstrong.
The characters in the show are talking animals, like a big, friendly dog named Duggee. He leads a club called The Squirrel Club. The kids in the club, known as the Squirrels, go on exciting adventures and do all sorts of activities. For each accomplishment, they earn a special badge! Every episode shows the Squirrels completing a task or adventure to earn a new badge. The show often includes funny references to pop culture.
Hey Duggee has four series. It first aired on December 17, 2014, and officially started on January 12, 2015. The third series became very popular during the 2020 lockdowns. A fourth series was announced on September 5, 2022. A new spin-off show called Hey Duggee's Squirrel Club was announced on October 13, 2023.

How Hey Duggee is Made
The show's animation is created using a computer program called Adobe Flash. The style is simple, using solid shapes with no outlines. Only Duggee himself often has smooth color changes. For example, a frog character might look like a plain green triangle.
About 16 animators work on the show. There are also six to eight writers who create the stories for each episode.
