What's the Story About?

The show takes place in a magical place called Storybrook Village. You can get there through a secret panel on a library bookshelf. The main character is Whyatt Beanstalk. He lives with his friends: Woofster, Littlest Pig, Red Riding Hood, and Princess Pea.

In each episode, one of the friends has a "super big problem." It might be a question or a mystery. They all meet at the Book Club to talk about it. To find a solution, they fly into a famous storybook.

The Super Readers follow the story's plot. They find challenges that they solve using their reading skills. By changing parts of the story, they overcome these problems. Each time they solve a problem, they get special "Super Letters." These letters help them find the answer to their big problem.

At the end of their adventure, the Super Readers return to the Book Club. They put all the Super Letters on a giant computer screen. The letters spell out the "Super Story Answer." Then, one of the Super Readers explains how that word or phrase solves their problem.

Meet the Characters

The original four Super Readers
  • Whyatt Beanstalk/Super Why (voiced by Nicholas Castel Vanderburgh, Nicholas Kaegi, and Johnny Orlando) is the leader of the Super Readers. He is the younger brother of Jack from the "Jack and the Beanstalk" story. Whyatt lives with his parents and baby sister, Joy. His special power is "the power to read," which helps with new words. His colors are green and blue.
  • Littlest Pig/Alpha Pig (voiced by Zachary Bloch and Samuel Faraci) is also known as "P is for Pig!" He loves to pretend and dress up like his dad, who is a construction worker. Alpha Pig has "alphabet power." This helps him with letters and sounds. He also has a toolbox with useful tools. His colors are blue-violet and orange.
  • Little Red Riding Hood/Wonder Red (voiced by Siera Florindo and T.J. McGibbon) is called "Red" in the show. She is the character from the "Little Red Riding Hood" fairy tale. Wonder Red has "word power," which helps with rhyming and word families. For example, she helps with words like "OP" or "AT." Her colors are red and purple.
  • Princess Pea/Princess Presto (voiced by Tajja Isen) is named after the story "The Princess and the Pea." Her parents are the prince and princess from that tale. Princess Presto has "spelling power." She uses her Magic Spelling Wand to help spell words. Her colors are pink and green.
  • Puppy/Woofster (voiced by Jo Vannicola) is Whyatt's brown dog. Woofster has "dictionary power." This means he can find out what any word means. His colors are blue and red.
