Playhouse Disney was a special brand from The Walt Disney Company. It was known for its TV shows and channels made just for young kids. This brand started in the United States as a morning block of shows on the Disney Channel. It showed a mix of live-action and cartoon series. These shows were mostly for children aged 0 to 7 years old.
The Playhouse Disney block on Disney Channel changed its name to Disney Junior on February 14, 2011. Over the next two years, other Playhouse Disney channels and blocks around the world also became Disney Junior. The last one to change was the Playhouse Disney block on Disney Channel Russia on September 1, 2013.
