PB&J Otter is a fun animated musical TV show for kids. It first aired on Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney on March 15, 1998. The show is about the Otter family, who live in a small fishing town called Lake Hoohaw.
The main characters are the Otter kids: Peanut, Jelly, and Baby Butter. Their names come from a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! The show also features their friends and neighbors. It teaches kids important lessons while being entertaining.
Jim Jinkins created PB&J Otter. He also made other popular shows like Doug. The show's creators worked with experts from Harvard University. These experts made sure the show had positive and educational messages. Dan Sawyer, Fred Newman, and Rich Mendoza wrote the songs for the show.
PB&J Otter was nominated for an Annie Award in 2000. This award celebrates great music in animated shows. The show was shown again on Disney Channel until 2005. Later, it aired on Disney Junior from 2012 to 2014.
