Imagination Movers is a fun live-action TV show for kids. It first aired on September 6, 2008, on Disney Channel. The show was originally part of the Playhouse Disney block, which was for younger children. Later, on February 14, 2011, it moved to the Disney Junior block, which replaced Playhouse Disney.

The TV series is based on the music and ideas of a real band called Imagination Movers. This band is from New Orleans. The band members star in the show and also help produce it. All the songs you hear in the show are written and performed by the Imagination Movers band.

The show ran for three seasons. The last new episode aired on April 14, 2013. After that, you could still watch reruns on Disney Junior until May 16, 2014. If you want to watch it now, the series became available on the Disney+ streaming service on February 28, 2020.

What is the Show About?

The show follows the four members of the Imagination Movers band: Dave, Rich, Smitty, and Scott. They live and work in a cool place called the "Idea Warehouse." This warehouse has many special rooms, like a "Jungle Room" and a "Beach Room."

In each episode, the Movers help people with their problems. These problems are called "Idea Emergencies." The Movers use their creativity to find clever solutions. They get help from their friends too.

  • Warehouse Mouse is a friendly mouse who lives in the walls.
  • Nina is their cheerful neighbor. She works as a photographer and visits the Movers often. In Season 3, Nina even owns a place called the Idea Cafe.
  • Knit Knots is Nina's uncle. He doesn't like things that are too "exciting."

Meet the Characters and Their Tools

The Movers have special tools to help them solve problems:

  • Rich has "Scribble Sticks." He uses them to draw pictures and write words on the TV screen.
  • Scott has "Wobble Goggles." These goggles let him see things from different angles.
  • Dave wears a special baseball cap. He can store all sorts of objects inside it.
  • Smitty carries a special journal where he writes down ideas.

Every episode ends with the Movers singing their song "Jump Up." While they sing, you see quick clips of what happened in that episode.
