Jake and the Never Land Pirates is an exciting animated TV show for kids, shown on Disney Junior. In its fourth season, it was also known as Captain Jake and the Never Land Pirates. This musical and interactive series is based on Disney's Peter Pan stories, which come from the famous play and book by British author J. M. Barrie. It was the first original show for Disney Junior after it replaced Playhouse Disney.
The show follows a group of young pirates: Jake, Izzy, Cubby, and their parrot Skully. They spend their days on adventures, often trying to find treasure or get back items stolen by the sneaky Captain Hook and his crew, Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones. Jake and his friends usually outsmart Hook and win the day! They are often joined by their living pirate ship, Bucky, and their mermaid friend, Marina. Captain Hook also has to watch out for Tick-Tock the Crocodile, who is always chasing him!
The series ran for four seasons, starting on February 14, 2011, and ending on November 6, 2016.

What the Show is About
The show is all about the adventures of three young pirates: Captain Jake, Izzy, and Cubby, who live in Never Land. They are always on the lookout for treasure!
Usually, Captain Hook tries to steal something fun from Jake and his crew. Then, Jake and his friends have to work together to get it back. After they solve their "pirate problems," they count their gold doubloons (special gold coins) and put them in their "Team Treasure Chest."
In the first season, the problems were often playful, like getting a basketball back from Captain Hook. Later seasons brought bigger adventures, like finding a lost city of gold or an ancient pirate pyramid! Each episode usually has two animated stories, followed by a live-action song by the Never Land Pirate Band.

Meet the Characters
Main Characters
- Jake (voiced by Colin Ford, then Cameron Boyce, and later Sean Ryan Fox): Jake is the main hero and leader of the Never Land Pirates. He's Captain Hook's biggest rival. His catchphrase is "Yo ho, let's go!" Jake wears a red bandanna and later a blue captain's hat. He has a special wooden sword called the Forever Sword, given to him by Peter Pan. As a captain, he uses a metal sword called the Mighty Captain's Sword, which can do cool things like cut through metal or shoot heat beams!
- Izzy (voiced by Madison Pettis, then Megan Richie): Izzy is Jake's second-in-command. She carries a small bag of pixie dust, given to her by fairies like Tinker Bell. The team uses this pixie dust only for emergencies to help them fly. Her catchphrase is "Yay hey, no way!"
- Cubby (voiced by Jonathan Morgan Heit, then Jadon Sand): Cubby is the youngest of the group. His catchphrase is "Aww, coconuts!" He always has the map of Never Land. Cubby can be a bit shy and clumsy, but he is Jake's best friend.
- Skully (voiced by David Arquette for speaking, and Loren Hoskins for singing): Skully is a small, green talking parrot. He acts like a guardian for the team and wears a black bandanna with white skulls. He's always on the lookout for Captain Hook.
- Captain Hook (voiced by Corey Burton): Captain Hook is the famous pirate captain of Never Land and Peter Pan's enemy. He commands the ship called "The Jolly Roger." Hook is known for being tricky and often tries to steal treasure from Jake's crew. He speaks with an English accent.

- Tick-Tock the Crocodile (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker): This is the same crocodile who ate Captain Hook's hand a long time ago! Tick-Tock loves the taste of Hook and has been chasing him ever since.
