Jeff Bennett (born October 2, 1962) is a super talented American voice actor. He's the person behind many voices you've probably heard in your favorite cartoons! He's famous for being the voice of Johnny Bravo, and also Dexter and Dee Dee's Dad in Dexter's Laboratory.
You might also know his voice as Ace, Grubber, and Big Billy from The Powerpuff Girls. He was Peter Puppy in Earthworm Jim and Brooklyn in Gargoyles. He also voiced Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel in Lilo & Stitch: The Series and Clay Bailey in Xiaolin Showdown.
In the The Land Before Time movies, he voiced Petrie, and he was Kowalski in Penguins of Madagascar series. Jeff Bennett has won some big awards for his amazing voice work. In 2012, he won an Annie Award for his role in The Penguins of Madagascar. Then, in 2016, he won an Emmy Award for his work in Transformers: Rescue Bots. He is known as one of the best voice actors around!

Early life and training
Jeff Bennett was born in 1962 in Houston, Texas. He learned how to act on stage at the Alley Theatre in Houston. In 1990, he moved to California with his family.
Voice acting career
Jeff Bennett's first voice acting job was playing Horace "I.Q." Boothroyd the Third in a show called James Bond Jr..
After that, he got many more roles. He voiced Brooklyn in Gargoyles and Petrie in The Land Before Time movies, starting from the second one. He was also Jitters A. Dog in Bonkers and Lord Camembert in Biker Mice from Mars. He played Roger Dearly and Lieutenant Pug in 101 Dalmatians: The Series, and Dexter's Dad in Dexter's Laboratory.
In 1995, he got his most famous role: the main character in Johnny Bravo. For this character, Jeff Bennett used a voice that sounded a bit like Elvis Presley. Johnny Bravo became a TV show in 1997 and was very popular until 2004. Jeff Bennett was even nominated for an Annie Award for his voice work on the show.
He also voiced many characters in the cartoon series Freakazoid!, like The Huntsman, Cave Guy, and Candle Jack. Later, he voiced Drixenol "Drix" Koldriliff in Ozzy and Drix, Clay Bailey in Xiaolin Showdown, and Mister Boss in Codename: Kids Next Door. He was also Raj in Camp Lazlo, Principal Luna in Class of 3000, and Azmuth in Ben 10: Alien Force. He voiced Mr. Smee and Bones in Jake and the Never Land Pirates.
Since 2006, Jeff Bennett has voiced Peppermint Larry in The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. He also voices The Man With the Yellow Hat and Mr. Renkins in the PBS Kids TV series Curious George. This show won Daytime Emmys for best children's animated program in 2008, 2010, and 2012.
He has also voiced the Joker in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Dorkus in Planet Sheen, and several characters like Keswick and Larry in T.U.F.F. Puppy. He was Red Tornado in Young Justice and Kowalski in The Penguins of Madagascar.
In 2012, Jeff Bennett won an Annie Award for his voice acting as Kowalski in The Penguins of Madagascar. In 2016, he won a Daytime Emmy Award for his role as Mayor Lusky in Transformers: Rescue Bots.

Jeff Bennett has been married to Susan E. Welby since 1988. They have one daughter, who was born in 1998.
