The Story of Tinker Bell's Discovery
Preparing for Winter in Pixie Hollow
As the fairies of Pixie Hollow get ready for winter, Tinker Bell helps her friend Fawn. They take animals to the Winter Woods to prepare them for hibernation. Fawn reminds Tink that warm-season fairies cannot cross into the Winter Woods. The cold can damage their delicate wings. Lord Milori supposedly made this rule to keep everyone safe.
Tinker Bell's Curious Adventure
Tinker Bell is very curious and ignores Fawn's warning. She crosses the border, and her wings begin to sparkle! Before she can figure out why, Fawn pulls her back. Tink tries to find answers about sparkling wings in a book. The page is incomplete, but another fairy tells her the book's author, Dewey the Keeper, lives in the Winter Woods.
Meeting a New Friend in the Winter Woods
Tinker Bell hides her wings under a coat and sneaks into a shipment of snowflake baskets. A young owl picks her up but crash-lands in the Winter Woods. Tink's book falls out and is found by Lord Milori. He has it delivered to Dewey, the Keeper. Tink secretly follows to the library. There, she sees Dewey and another winter fairy. Tink notices this fairy's wings are sparkling just like her own!
A Surprising Family Reunion
Tinker Bell and the other fairy, Periwinkle, notice each other. They soon discover an amazing secret: they were both born from the same laugh! This means they are twin sisters. The two sisters spend the day together, exploring the Winter Woods. Periwinkle introduces Tink to her friends, Gliss and Spike.
Challenges of Two Worlds
At Periwinkle's home, Tink tries to build a fire. This causes the floor to melt and crumble beneath them. Tink's wings are tucked away, so she can't fly. Dewey saves her from falling. He warns them that it's too dangerous for them to be together. The sisters pretend to say goodbye at the border but promise to meet again.
Bringing Winter to Warmth
The next day, Tinker Bell brings a special ice-powered snow maker to the border. This machine keeps her cool. Periwinkle uses it to cross over into the warm side of Pixie Hollow. Tink introduces Peri to her friends and shows her around. After a while, the machine runs out of ice. Periwinkle's wings begin to wilt from the warmth.
A Difficult Farewell
Tink and her friends rush Peri back to the border. They meet Lord Milori, who takes Periwinkle back to the Winter Woods. Queen Clarion arrives and explains that she was the one who made the rule about fairies staying in their own seasons. Tinker Bell and Periwinkle sadly say goodbye, thinking it's forever. Lord Milori accidentally knocks the snow-maker into a stream.
The Story of a Broken Wing
Queen Clarion tells Tinker Bell a sad story. Lord Milori tells Periwinkle the same story. It's about two fairies who fell in love, one from the warm seasons and one from the Winter Woods. One of them crossed the border, and their wing broke. There was no way to heal it. After this, Queen Clarion made the rule to keep warm and winter fairies apart. This was to prevent anyone else from getting hurt.
A New Threat to Pixie Hollow
News of an emergency reaches Tinker Bell and the Queen. They fly back to the border. The snow-maker, caught by rocks in the stream, has been collecting ice. It's creating a massive blizzard! Tink and her friends manage to free the machine. However, a huge freeze begins to spread across Pixie Hollow. It will soon reach the Pixie Dust Tree, which is very important.
A Frosty Solution
Tinker Bell tries to think of a solution. She notices a Periwinkle flower that Peri had covered in frost is still alive. Tink flies to the Winter Woods. As she gets close, her wings freeze, and she crash-lands. Peri's friends explain that frost acts like a blanket, keeping warm air inside. They decide to return to the Pixie Dust Tree to cover it in frost.
Working Together to Save Pixie Hollow
It seems like an impossible task for just three fairies. But then, Lord Milori arrives with many more winter fairies! All the winter fairies work together to frost as much of the warm seasons as possible. As the freeze gets closer, Lord Milori warns the warm fairies to take cover. He gives Queen Clarion his cape, revealing that one of his wings is broken.
Healing and Reunion
After some time, the freeze finally stops. The Pixie Dust Tree is safe, and all the fairies celebrate. However, Tink reveals that her wing broke when she flew to the woods. As the sisters say goodbye, Tink and Peri's wings touch. In a flash of light, Tinker Bell's wing heals! Queen Clarion and Lord Milori share a kiss. This reveals they were the two lovers from the sad story.
A New Beginning for Fairies
Sometime later, warm fairies can now cross into the Winter Woods. Their wings are frosted to protect them from the cold. The two sisters, Tinker Bell and Periwinkle, never have to be apart again!
