Inspector Gadget is a fun animated TV show made with computer graphics (CGI). It's a follow-up to the original Inspector Gadget series from the 1980s. This show was first announced in 2013 and started airing in France on January 3, 2015. Later, it premiered in Canada on September 7, 2015.

Stopping Dr. Claw: The Story of Inspector Gadget
The story begins when the evil Dr. Claw is freed from his icy prison. He brings back his bad organization, M.A.D. To stop him, Inspector Gadget comes out of retirement. This time, his smart niece Penny and loyal dog Brain officially join him on missions. A new character, Dr. Claw's nephew Talon, also appears. The show is more funny than the old one, and Dr. Claw seems less scary.

Meet the Characters
HQ Team: The Good Guys
- Inspector Gadget (voiced by Ivan Sherry) - Gadget is still a bumbling cyborg detective. He often causes chaos but somehow saves the day by accident. He loves Penny but rarely listens to her good advice. Gadget now has a new, improved Gadget Mobile!
- Penny (voiced by Tara Strong) - Penny is Inspector Gadget's super-smart niece. She is an agent in training and the real hero of the show. She's brave, clever, and always ready to fight villains. Penny has a secret crush on Talon, Dr. Claw's nephew. She uses a cool holographic tablet called the Codex for her detective work.
- Brain (voiced by Scott McCord) - Brain is Penny's loyal dog and best friend. He's a master of disguise and helps Penny on every mission. Inspector Gadget often mistakes Brain for a M.A.D. agent, even when Brain is trying to help him!
- Chief Quimby (voiced by Derek McGrath) - Chief Quimby is the leader of HQ. He gives Gadget and Penny their missions, often appearing in the most unexpected places. His messages are now holographic and self-destructing. He's much more patient than before.
- Professor Von Slickstein (voiced by Scott McCord) - He is an HQ scientist who invents cool gadgets. In this series, he is shown as a young man.
- Kayla (voiced by Katie Griffin) - Kayla is Penny's best friend and also an agent in training. She's very cheerful and talks a lot, which can even stop M.A.D. bad guys!
M.A.D. Villains: The Bad Guys
- Dr. Claw (voiced by Martin Roach) - Dr. Claw still wants to take over the world and get rid of Gadget. His nephew, Talon, helped him escape his icy prison. You never see his face, but sometimes you see his body. His full name is Irving Thelonious Claw, Jr.
- MAD Cat - This M.A.D. Cat is female and Dr. Claw's spoiled pet. She often argues with Talon.
- Talon (voiced by Lyon Smith) - Talon is Dr. Claw's clever and handsome nephew. He rescued his uncle in the first episode. Talon knows he's good-looking and uses it to his advantage. He secretly likes Penny, even though they are enemies. Talon is one of the few M.A.D. agents who knows Penny is the one who usually stops their plans. He often argues with his uncle about his old-fashioned or silly plans.
- Mama Claw (voiced by Martin Roach) - Mama Claw is Dr. Claw's mother and Talon's grandmother. She often nags her son and tries to make him and Talon do better. Like Dr. Claw, her face is never shown.
- M.A.D. Henchmen (Various Voices) - These are the general bad guys who work for M.A.D.
Some M.A.D. Agents
- MADthew Strong (voiced by Cory Doran) - A construction worker who works for M.A.D.
- Corsetta Camisole (voiced by Alyson Court) - A stylish master of disguise.
- Malicious (voiced by Alyson Court) - Penny's secret friend who goes to "Evil University." She loves medieval torture and weapons. She also has a big crush on Talon.
- Cuckoo Clockmaker (voiced by Ron Pardo) - A man obsessed with clocks and being "on Time."
- Jacques Crankcase (voiced by Cory Doran) - A cheating racer who will do anything to win.
- MADison Von Trapp (voiced by Julie Lemieux) - Dr. Claw's best huntress with a metallic eagle.
