Beyblade Burst (Japanese: ベイブレードバースト, Beiburēdo Bāsuto) is a popular Japanese manga (comic book series) and toy line. It's part of the bigger Beyblade world, where people battle with spinning tops called Beys. This series is the third main part of the Beyblade story.
The Beyblade Burst toys first came out on July 15, 2015. The manga started in August 2015 in a Japanese magazine called CoroCoro Comic. So far, there are eighteen tankōbon (collected manga volumes). You can also find the English version of the manga, which started in April 2017.
An anime (Japanese animated TV show) based on Beyblade Burst started airing in Japan on April 4, 2016. In English-speaking countries, ADK Emotions NY, Inc. handles the anime, and Hasbro sells the toys. This was the first time a company other than Nelvana made the English version of the show.

Beyblade Burst: The First Adventure (2016–17)
The first season of Beyblade Burst follows a super energetic boy named Valt Aoi and his best friend, Shu Kurenai. They go to Beigoma Academy in Japan. When they're not in class, they love battling with their Bey tops! They even start a Bey club at school. Valt and Shu, along with their friends, become friendly rivals. They all compete to see who can become Japan's top Blader.
Beyblade Burst Evolution: World Challenge (2017–18)
In Beyblade Burst Evolution, Valt Aoi, who was a top Blader in Japan, gets a special invitation to join a famous Spanish team called "BC Sol." He moves to Spain and meets old friends and new ones who join him on his journey. Valt's first battle in Spain helps his Bey, Valtryek, become even stronger! Valt and his friends dream of becoming the World Champion. To do this, they must win team battles against other teams from all over the world in the European League.
Beyblade Burst Turbo: Aiger's Journey (2018–19)
Two years after the big International Blader's Cup, the story shifts to Aiger Akabane. He's a "wild child" who grew up close to nature. After seeing Valt Aoi battle, Aiger is inspired to become the best Blader in the world with his own Beyblade, Z Achilles. He wants to battle strong opponents to get stronger himself. Aiger starts his journey to defeat Valt Aoi and become the World Champion.
Beyblade Burst Rise: New Generation (2019–20)
In Beyblade Burst Rise, the legendary Blader Valt Aoi is now training new, amazing Bladers at BC Sol in Spain. One day, two new Bladers, Dante Koryu and Delta Zakuro, watch Valt use his newly evolved Bey, Sword Valtryek. They are amazed when Valtryek glows with a golden light during battle! This special power is called "Hyper flux." Inspired by this, Dante and Delta want to create the same strong bond with their own Beys.
Dante and his Bey, Ace Dragon, travel to Japan, where Beyblade first began. But becoming the best won't be easy! Many tough Bladers and powerful Gamma Beys stand in their way. Dante realizes he needs to work hard to make his bond with Dragon even stronger. Can Dante and Dragon overcome these challenges and reach Hyper flux? This is their story of rising to the top of the Blading world!
Beyblade Burst Surge: The Hizashi Brothers (2020–21)
At the top of the Blading world are the Blading Legends, who are the best of the best. No one has been able to beat them yet. Valt Aoi, a legend himself, hosts a special match with new "Lightning Beys." Two unknown brothers, Hyuga and Hikaru Hizashi, are inspired by this battle. They challenge the elite Bladers with their own Lightning Beys, Hyperion and Helios. This unexpected duo wants to take down the Beyblade champions!
As the Hizashi brothers challenge the world's Blading legends, a new tournament starts to find out who is truly the best. In all this excitement, a mysterious Blader appears. Will Hikaru and Hyuga start a new revolution in Beyblade? With their solar Beys, the brothers are ready to begin their own amazing adventure.
Meet the Beyblade Burst Characters
- Valt Aoi: An energetic boy who dreams of becoming the world champion.
- Shu Kurenai: Valt's childhood best friend and main rival. He is also one of the Supreme Four and owns the Raging Bulls team.
- Rantaro Kiyama: Also known as The Head Honcho or Honcho / The Boss. Rantaro is a member of the Beigoma Academy BeyClub and BC Sol. He is also a coach for The Bombers and Ranjiro's older brother.
- Aiger Akabane: The main character of Burst Turbo. He is an 11-year-old boy who is very passionate and wants to become the world's strongest Blader after seeing Valt Aoi's power.
- Daigo Kurogami: The leader of the Beigoma Academy BeyClub until he moves to America.
- Ranjiro Kiyama: Also known as Cap'n, he is Rantaro's younger brother.
- Dante Koryu: The main character of Burst Rise and a member of the Victories team.
- Delta Zakuro: A member of the Victories team and the older brother of Taka Kusaba.
- Arthur Peregrine: One of the Risen 3.
- Hikaru Hizashi: One of the two main characters of Burst Surge and Hyuga's older brother.
- Hyuga Hizashi: One of the two main characters of Burst Surge and Hikaru's younger brother.
- Lean Walhalla: The main bad guy of Burst Surge and Shu's former student.
Beyblade Burst Manga Series
The Beyblade Burst manga is a Japanese comic book series. It tells the story of the Beyblade world in a different way than the anime. It's written by Hiro Morita and published by Shogakukan.

Beyblade Burst Anime Series
The Beyblade Burst anime is a TV show that brings the Beyblade battles to life! It's made by a studio called OLM.
The first season of the anime aired in Japan from April 4, 2016, to March 27, 2017. An English version of the show started in Canada on September 10, 2016, and in the United States on December 19, 2016. You could also watch an English subtitled version online for a while.
Beyblade Burst God (Season 2)
A second season, called Beyblade Burst God, was announced on February 11, 2017. This season aired from April 3, 2017, to March 26, 2018. The English version of this season premiered in Canada on November 4, 2017, and in the United States on December 4, 2017.
Beyblade Burst Chōzetsu (Season 3)
On February 8, 2018, a third season, Beyblade Burst Chōzetsu, was confirmed. It aired from April 2, 2018, to March 25, 2019. The English dub for this season started in Canada on October 7, 2018, and in the United States on December 15, 2018.
Beyblade Burst GT (Season 4)
A fourth season, Beyblade Burst GT, was announced on February 15, 2019. This season was streamed online weekly on the CoroCoro YouTube channel and other official Beyblade channels from April 5, 2019, to March 27, 2020. The English version premiered in the United States on February 8, 2020.
Beyblade Burst Sparking (Season 5)
On March 13, 2020, a fifth season, Beyblade Burst Sparking, was announced. It started airing on April 3, 2020, on YouTube channels. The English version of this anime premiered in the United States on February 20, 2021.
A sixth season of the anime was announced on December 15, 2020, so there's more Beyblade fun to come!
Beyblade Burst Toys and Products
Hasbro and Sunrights are in charge of selling the Beyblade Burst toys outside of Japan. Toys R Us started selling the toys in Canada in September 2016. Hasbro then began selling them in the United States in January 2017.
