The story follows Captain Nemo and his brave crew on their spaceship, the Nautilus. Their mission is to free Earth and other planets from the evil Master Phantom. The show first aired in the United States on UPN from September to December 1995. It even had cool "Strikervision" 3-D action scenes! In France, the show was called 20 000 Lieues dans l'espace, which means "20,000 Leagues in Space".

The Story of Space Strikers
Space Strikers tells one big story over all its episodes. The universe is full of humans and many different space-traveling creatures. But they are all in danger from Master Phantom's robot armies. Master Phantom is a human cyborg (part human, part machine). He believes Captain Nemo left him to die a long time ago.
At the start of the show, Earth and many other planets are already taken over. People from different species join Captain Nemo's human crew on the Nautilus. They team up to fight back against Master Phantom. These allies include a wolf and a dolphin who act like humans. There's also a creature like Cupid and many helpful robots. Captain Nemo and Master Phantom used to be friends. They even trained together. Because of this, they often try to outsmart each other throughout the show.
Experience Strikervision 3D
"Strikervision" was a special feature of the show. Sometimes, a small green picture would pop up on the screen. This told viewers to put on their 3-D glasses.
In the early 3-D scenes, backgrounds and things in front of the characters would move. They would go in opposite directions. This made it look like things were spinning or moving around. Later, the show used 3D computer graphics for many of its spaceships. This allowed for cool 3-D scenes where ships flew right past the screen.
