Hebron is a small, unincorporated community located in the southeastern part of Douglas County, Missouri, in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a group of homes or buildings that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Hebron is found where a local county road meets Hebron Hollow. Hebron Hollow is a small stream that gets its water from a natural spring. This stream then flows into the North Fork River to the southwest.

The North Fork River is a significant waterway nearby. About two miles to the west, along Missouri Route AA, you can find the Hebron Boat Access and a campground. This area is popular for people who enjoy outdoor activities like boating and camping along the river.

History of Hebron

The community of Hebron has a brief but interesting history. A post office was opened in Hebron in 1905. This post office served the local residents, allowing them to send and receive mail. However, it did not stay open for very long. The Hebron post office closed its doors in 1935. The community was given its name after the ancient city of Hebron, which is a very old and historically important city mentioned in many ancient texts.
