What is a Regular Hectogon?
A regular hectogon is a very special type of hectogon. In a regular hectogon, all 100 sides are exactly the same length. Also, all 100 corners (or angles) are exactly the same size.
How Big are the Angles?
Each corner inside a regular hectogon measures 176.4 degrees. That's a very wide angle, almost a straight line! If you add up all 100 of these angles, the total is 17,640 degrees. This huge sum shows how complex a shape with 100 sides can be.
What About Its Area?
The area of a regular hectogon is the amount of flat space it covers. Just like finding the area of a square or a triangle, you can calculate the area of a hectogon. It depends on how long each of its sides is. The more sides a shape has, the closer it gets to looking like a circle.
