What is Help! Teach is Coming to Stay?
This show had a super cool idea! A teacher would actually go and stay with one of their students for a whole weekend. During this time, the teacher had to learn all about two of the student's favorite hobbies. It was a big challenge for the teachers!
How the Show Works
The main goal was for the teacher to become a student again. They had to learn everything their pupil taught them. On Monday, when everyone was back at school, the teacher faced a special exam. This exam was all about what they learned over the weekend.
The Weekend Challenge
The weekend started with a "compatibility test" on Friday evening. This test showed how well the teacher and student could work together. For example, the teacher might have to make a clay model while blindfolded. Or they might collect things from the garden with their legs tied together! If they didn't pass this funny challenge, they both had to eat cold school food. Yuck!
Learning New Hobbies
On Saturday morning, the student became the teacher. They gave their teacher a 45-minute lesson on one of their hobbies. After that, there was a short 15-minute break. During the break, they tried to earn extra time for the next lesson. This made the learning even more exciting!
The Big Exam Day
The most exciting part was the final exam. It happened in front of the teacher's whole class! A special judge, who was an expert in the hobby, watched the exam. If the teacher got three "ticks" from the judge, they passed! And the whole class won a grand prize. But if the teacher didn't pass, there was a funny forfeit. Both the teacher and the student (who was like the teacher's teacher) would get "gunged"! That means they got covered in a gooey, messy substance. It was always a big laugh for everyone!
