Early Life and Family
Henry Baynton was the oldest son of Edward Bayntun. His mother was Agnes, the daughter of Sir Griffith Rhys. The family lived in Bromham, Wiltshire.
Henry went to Lincoln's Inn in 1588. This was a famous place where people studied law. After his father passed away in 1593, Henry took over the family home, Bromham House. He was given the special title of "Sir" when he was knighted in 1601.
Political Career
Sir Henry Baynton was a Member of Parliament (MP). This meant he was chosen to represent people in the Parliament of England. Parliament was where important laws and decisions for the country were made.
