Henry McLaughlin's Baseball Journey
Henry McLaughlin started his professional baseball career in 1912. He joined the French Lick Plutos team. This was his first time playing in the Negro Leagues. The Negro Leagues were important baseball leagues for African American players. They played during a time when major league baseball was segregated.
Playing for Different Teams
After playing for the French Lick Plutos, Henry McLaughlin moved to other teams. In 1915, he played for the West Baden Sprudels. He was a strong pitcher and helped his teams compete.
