Business Ventures

Sir Henry Tulse was also involved in various business activities. He was a member of the Court of Assistants for the Royal African Company. This was a large trading company during his time. Family & Land Holdings

The Tulse family owned several large estates, known as manors. These included Bodley, Upgrove, and Scarletts. These lands were located in the parish of Lambeth. It is believed that Sir Henry Tulse may have owned parts of these manors himself. Later, some of these lands were passed down to his grandchildren. His daughter, Elizabeth, married Lord Onslow.
