Henryk Vogelfänger (born October 4, 1904 – died October 6, 1990) was a famous Polish actor. He was also known by his stage name, Tońko. Before he became a star, he worked as a lawyer in a city called Lwów (which is now Lviv, Ukraine).
Henryk Vogelfänger became very popular as part of a comedy team. He and his partner, Kazimierz Wajda, were known as Szczepko and Tońko. They had a funny radio show called Wesoła Lwowska Fala on Polish Radio. Lots of people in Poland loved listening to their jokes and stories.

Henryk Vogelfänger's Life Story
Henryk Vogelfänger went to the Stanisław Staszic's 6th Junior High School in Lwow. After finishing his studies at university, he became a lawyer. In 1935, he opened his own law office. This is where he helped people with legal problems.
Starting His Comedy Career
In 1933, Henryk Vogelfänger met Kazimierz Wajda. Together, they started their comedy journey on the radio show Wesoła Lwowska Fala. Henryk played the character Tońko, and Kazimierz played Szczepko. Their funny conversations and sketches made them household names.
Life During World War II
When World War II began, Henryk Vogelfänger continued to perform. He joined a group of French actors. They put on shows for people in England and for soldiers on the Western Front. He was also a soldier himself, serving in General Maczek's First Division.
After the war, Henryk moved to Great Britain. He changed his name to "Henry Barker" and continued to work as a lawyer there. He lived in Great Britain for many years. In 1988, he returned to Poland. Henryk Vogelfänger passed away on October 6, 1990. He was buried in London.
