Working in Television

Solow became a vice president at MGM Television. This meant he was in charge of making many TV shows for the company. He helped produce popular shows like Medical Center. This show was about doctors and hospitals.

He also worked on Then Came Bronson, which was an adventure series. Another show he helped create was The Courtship of Eddie's Father. This was a family comedy about a father raising his son.

Herb Solow was a member of several important groups in Hollywood. He belonged to the Writers Guild of America. This group protects the rights of writers. He was also part of the Directors Guild of America, which does the same for directors.
