It has a roof that slopes down on all sides, and its walls are made from carefully fitted stones.

Exploring the Hermitage's Design
The front of the hermitage looks quite simple. It has a door with a rounded, oval-like top, known as an elliptical arch. On each side of this door, there are small openings with a criss-cross pattern, like a window.
Unique Features of the Building
On one of the side walls of the hermitage, there's another arch that looks like it might have been an old doorway, but it's now closed off. The most interesting part of the hermitage is inside. It has a beautiful wooden ceiling that looks like a long, narrow box or a trough. This ceiling shows off amazing woodworking skills.
A Protected Historical Site
In 1995, the Hermitage of the Solitude was recognized as a very important historical site. It was declared a "Heritage of Cultural Interest" (Bien de Interés Cultural) in Spain. This means it's a monument that is protected because of its historical and artistic value. Its official code is RI-51-0009113.
