Herndon, Missouri facts for kids
Herndon is a small, quiet place in Saline County, Missouri, in the United States. It's known as an unincorporated community, which means it's a group of homes and buildings that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
Herndon's History
Herndon was first planned out in 1874. It was named after Edward S. Herndon, who was one of the first people to settle in the area. Before it was even planned, a post office opened there in 1873. This post office helped people send and receive mail until it closed down in 1907.
