The desert rosemallow, also known as Hibiscus coulteri, is a type of flowering plant. It belongs to the Malvaceae family, which includes many mallows. This plant grows naturally on steep slopes and canyon walls. You can find it in the eastern Sonoran Desert and the Chihuahuan Desert. These deserts are located in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico.
This plant is a short-lived perennial shrub. This means it lives for more than two years and has woody stems. It can grow up to about 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The desert rosemallow is a great choice for xeriscaping. Xeriscaping is a way of landscaping that uses plants needing very little water. This helps save water in dry areas.
