Hideaki Ueno's Football Journey
Hideaki Ueno was born in Muroran, Hokkaido, Japan, on May 31, 1981. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career.
Starting with Kyoto Sanga FC
In 2000, Ueno joined a team called Kyoto Purple Sanga. This team played in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league. However, it was hard for him to play in games. There were other experienced goalkeepers on the team.
Time at Sanfrecce Hiroshima
In June 2004, Ueno moved to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. He joined them for a short time, which is called a loan. Even at this new club, he did not get to play in any matches. He stayed with them until 2005.
Returning to Kyoto
Ueno went back to Kyoto Sanga FC in 2006. In 2007, he finally got a chance to play more often. He was the regular goalkeeper for a few months in the J2 League. This league is the second-highest in Japan. After May 2007, he played less often again.
Playing for Tokushima Vortis
In 2009, Ueno moved to another J2 League team, Tokushima Vortis. This was a big year for him. He played in all 51 matches for the team. He was a very important player that season.
Later Career and Retirement
After 2009, Ueno's chances to play decreased. In 2010, he played in fewer games. By 2011, he did not play in any matches for Tokushima Vortis. He decided to retire from football at the end of the 2011 season.
