Highland View, Florida facts for kids
Highland View is a small, special place in Gulf County, Florida, United States. It's called an unincorporated community, which means it's not officially a town or city with its own local government, but it's still a recognized area where people live. You can find Highland View right along U.S. Route 98, a major road in Florida.
What Makes Highland View Special?
Highland View gets its name because it sits higher than nearby areas. It's about eight feet above sea level. This might not sound like a lot, but it's much higher than the neighboring town of Port St. Joe, which is only three feet above sea level. This higher ground can be important, especially in coastal areas.
