Hildisvíni facts for kids
Hildisvíni (Old Norse: “[the] battle swine”) is a giant boar which belongs to the goddess Freyja, often accompanying her into battle. Hildisvíni is attested to in Hyndluljóð, an Old Norse poem found in the Poetic Edda.
