Hiler, Missouri facts for kids
Hiler is a small, unnamed place in Jackson County, Missouri, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town does. Instead, it's part of the larger county area.
History of Hiler
Hiler once had its own post office, which is a place where people send and receive mail. This post office opened in 1893. It served the community for about nine years before it closed down in 1902. The name "Hiler" came from the last name of the wife of one of the very first people to settle there.
