The Hillsdale train station is a stop on the New Jersey Transit Pascack Valley Line. You can find it in Hillsdale, which is in Bergen County, New Jersey, USA. It's located at Broadway and Hillsdale Avenue.
A Look Back: Hillsdale Station's History
The Hillsdale train station was built a long time ago, in 1870. It was first used as the main stop and office for the New Jersey and New York Railroad. The main building of the station is very old and important. It has been listed on both the state and national lists of historic places since 1984. This means it's a special building that people want to protect because of its history. Long ago, there was also a big area for trains near where a grocery store is now.
Station Features
The Hillsdale station has one train track. It also has one low-level side platform. This is where you wait to get on and off the train.
Parking at the Station
If you need to park your car at the station, you'll need a special permit. The town of Hillsdale manages these parking permits. There are four different parking lots available. These lots have 170, 14, 15, and 69 parking spots. You can get a permit from the Borough of Hillsdale.
There are also a few parking spots, about twelve, that don't need a permit. These spots cost $5.00 for the day. You can pay for these spots at a yellow collection box located at the station.
