Hinton is a small place in Rockingham County, Virginia, in the United States. It is called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that don't have their own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's managed by the county.
Hinton is located to the northwest of Harrisonburg. You can find it along U.S. Route 33 and Route 752. It's also very close to the edge of the large George Washington National Forest.
