Hiroaki Hiraoka (born September 2, 1969) is a former Japanese football player and manager. He played as a defender. After his playing career, he became a football coach.
Hiroaki Hiraoka's Football Playing Days
Hiroaki Hiraoka was born in Shizuoka, Japan, on September 2, 1969. After finishing university, he joined a new football club called Shimizu S-Pulse in 1992. This club was based in his hometown.
He quickly became a regular player for the team, playing as a left side back. His team did very well, finishing second in the 1992 J.League Cup and the 1993 J.League Cup. However, he didn't play as much in 1994.
In 1996, Hiraoka moved to another team, Consadole Sapporo, which played in the Japan Football League (JFL). He didn't get to play many games there either.
In 1997, he joined Albirex Niigata, a club in the Regional Leagues. His new team was promoted to the JFL in 1998. Hiroaki Hiraoka decided to stop playing professional football at the end of the 1998 season.
Coaching Career
After he stopped playing, Hiroaki Hiraoka started a new career as a football coach. He began coaching for Albirex Niigata in 1999, the same club he played for last.
In 2007, he became the manager for Albirex Niigata Singapore. He led this team until 2008. Later, he also managed Shimizu S-Pulse, the club where he started his playing career, in 2020 and again from 2021 to 2022.
