Hiroshi Sakai (坂井 浩, Sakai Hiroshi, born October 19, 1976) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward, which means he was one of the main players who tried to score goals for his team.

Playing for Clubs
Hiroshi Sakai was born in Mie Prefecture, Japan, on October 19, 1976. After finishing high school, he started his professional football journey in 1995. He joined a team called Bellmare Hiratsuka.
Early Career at Bellmare Hiratsuka
Sakai made his first appearance for Bellmare Hiratsuka in 1997. He played in many matches that year, showing his skills on the field. However, at the end of the 1998 season, the club faced some money problems. Because of this, many players had to leave the team.
Challenges and Changes
In early 1999, Hiroshi Sakai got more chances to play. He was on the field with many younger players who were just starting out. But as the year went on, he didn't get to play as much. The team also had a tough time that season. They finished in last place and were moved down to a lower league called the J2 League.
Moving to Oita Trinita and Retirement
In 2000, Sakai decided to move to another team, Oita Trinita, which was in the J2 League. Unfortunately, he didn't get much playing time there either. At the end of the 2000 season, Hiroshi Sakai decided to retire from professional football. He played a total of 31 games and scored 6 goals in his club career.

Japan U-17 National Team
